28. Repatriation assistance ( Contents ) Special conditions
Previous provisions
- Period of cover: the period of cover of this insurance is linked to the accident policy issued by Liberty Seguros.
- Validity: To receive the covered benefits the insured must not be a Spanish national, but have primary residence in Spain and his or her time out of said primary residence must not exceed 60 days per trip.
- Territorial scope: This insurance cover is valid throughout the world and in Spain, outside of the insured's province of primary residence, with the exception of those covers which expressly have exclusive validity in Spain or abroad.
Repatriation of the deceased
In the event of the death of the insured due to an accident or illness, the insurer shall organise and bear the expense of the transportation or repatriation of the body from the location of the death within the Spanish territory to the international airport nearest to the burial site in the insured's country of origin.
Likewise, the insurer shall organise and bear the costs, up to 1,000 euros, of the expenses arising from the transport of the insured's body from the previously mentioned international airport to the burial site, managing all of the formalities which must be carried out and the payment of post-mortem expenses and the coffin required for the transportation, but excluding the funeral and burial expenses.
